Yes, both the ceremony & reception will take place outside.

The William Aiken House is located on upper King Street. So while we do not offer on-site parking, there is metered street parking available nearby, as well as the Visitor’s Center Parking Garage close by. Plus, the William Aiken House is conveniently located within walking distance to several downtown hotels.

Yes! All of the grounds and the house are handicap accessible, including an elevator for second-floor access and handicap-accessible restrooms on each floor.

Gowns or formal cocktail dresses; suits or sport coats with neckties or bowties. Please keep Charleston’s warmer spring weather in mind. We recommend block heels for women.

Our recommended hotels are within a 7-minute walk of the venue. King Street does not allow shuttle buses to unload at the William Aiken House, so if you prefer not to walk we recommend taking an Uber or Lyft (about a 2-minute drive).
